A First-Timer's Guide to Hiring a Car in Nairobi

New to hiring a vehicle in Kenya? Here's what to expect from start to finish.

If you've never hired a vehicle in Kenya before, the process is simpler than it might look from the outside. Here's what to expect.

1. Tell us what you need

Message us on WhatsApp or use our contact form with your dates, roughly how many people or how much luggage you're travelling with, and where you're headed. We'll suggest a vehicle and confirm availability.

2. Confirm the details

We'll walk you through the daily rate, mileage allowance, fuel policy, and any deposit required, so there are no surprises at pickup.

3. Bring the right documents

A valid driving licence held for at least 2 years, plus a national ID or passport. Visiting from abroad? Bring an international driving permit alongside your home licence.

4. Pickup and handover

We'll walk through the vehicle with you before you drive off — noting existing marks, confirming the fuel level, and making sure you're comfortable with the vehicle's controls.

5. On the road

Keep our contact details on hand. If anything comes up — a question, a breakdown, a change of plan — reach out and we'll help sort it out.

Ready to book? Chat with us on WhatsApp and we'll take it from there.
